Our directors are also the primary responsible adult at each of our performances, unless other arrangements have been made. The melodrama directorship contract includes a stipend of $1000.

VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBER
The Mantorville Theatre Company has a volunteer board numbering between five and nine people. Board members are elected from the general membership of the company, or can be appointed to fill a vacancy by the other members of the Board. It is NOT necessary for board members to be immersed in the theatre - only that they have a strong interest in helping the company to be successful. The Board meets once a month to help decide the direction and budget of the company, to suggest and approve of the shows that we will present, and to make other decisions on behalf of the company. Board members also typically serve on one or more committees (such as publicity, fund raising, membership, script-reading, building, etc.) Each show also has a volunteer Producer (typically a member of the Board) who works with the director, staff, contractors, and cast to ensure things are going smoothly. Board members are expected to attend each production and receive two passes to each production to accommodate that requirement.
